Our Nurse Practitioners

Michelle M. Pattat, FNP-BC, MSN, MHA

Michelle Murchison Pattat was born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama. She graduated cum laude from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, with a bachelor in business administration degree in 1988 then went on to earn a master of healthcare administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1990. After working as an assistant administrator at Children's Hospital in Richmond, Virginia, for two years, Michelle realized that she wanted to be more involved in patient care. She returned to graduate school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, where she received a master of science in nursing and became board-certified as a family nurse practitioner in 1995.

Before moving to Memphis, Michelle was in family practice in Lauderdale County, Tennessee, for about ten years. She joined Mid-South Ear, Nose and Throat in 2006. She sees adult and pediatric patients at two locations: 7600 Wolf River Blvd, Suite 220, in Germantown and 1458 West Poplar Avenue, Suite 204, in Collierville.

Michelle and her husband, Clayton, live in Arlington. They have three sons and a miniature schnauzer named Abraham. The oldest, Tyler, lives in Germantown, is married to Caroline and has two children. Their middle son, Avery, is a freshman in college and the youngest, Eli, is a sophomore in high school. They are very involved in their church, Bellevue Arlington, where Clayton and Michelle work with the youth group and Michelle plays the keyboard in the worship band. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys watching her boys play sports, reading, music, traveling, and watching University of Tennessee football. 

Marsha D. Dean, RN, APN, MSN, FNP-BC, PPCNP-BC

Marsha Dean was born in Crossett, Arkansas and lived most of her childhood there before going to Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1980. She completed the course of study and served in the student government and choir throughout her schooling. Marsha served as the student body president for her senior year. She graduated from the School of Nursing in 1983 and received the Outstanding Student Award.

After graduation she began working at Baptist Memorial in the Coronary Intensive Care and work in the Intensive care units until 1986, when she was chosen to be one of the first flight nurses for Hospital Wing, one of the first consortium of four competing hospital to form a flight service in the United States.

Marsha worked as a full time flight nurse for the next twelve years and part time as an emergency room nurse. During this time, she went back to school for her BSN in 1995. She was awarded the Army’s Spirit of Nursing Award and graduated with highest honors. She continued with her education by entering into the Family Nurse Practitioner program and earned her MSN with High Honors in 1997. She became a Family nurse practitioner and worked in the pediatric emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital East. She was able to work with board certified pediatricians and was able to obtain her Pediatric Nurse Practitioner certification. Marsha continued to work at BMH pediatric ER from 1997-2007.

During this time she met her husband and daughter and began to work in an Internal Medicine office environment from 2007-2011. Marsha began to work with Mid-South ENT with Dr. Naidu in 2011. There she sees both pediatric and adult patients with various illnesses and medical problems. She sees patients for sinus issues, ear problems, vocal issues and many others. She sees patients at two offices: 7600 Wolf River, Suite 220, Germantown, TN and 1458 West Poplar Ave, Suite 204, Collierville, TN.

When Marsha is not working, she and her husband (and at times her daughter and new son in law) enjoys fly fishing, hiking, camping and working at their farm. She also enjoys photography, learning primitive skills and making stained glass projects. Marsha loves music and plays bass, guitar and mandolin. She is also very active in her church and plays the bass guitar for church services.
